Boys and Girls Club Explores the Tejon Ranch
Lebec, California – The Tejon Ranch Conservancy, in partnership with Tejon Mountain Village, hosted over 30 local youth and their chaperons from the Kern County Boys and Girls Club for a day at Tejon Ranch. The group hiked through a Valley oak woodland, observed wildlife, and played a nature oriented game during lunch. Gift cards depicting endangered species found on Tejon Ranch with educational facts about each species were given to all that attended. “It was really cool to see the kids explore the environment and to realize that the conserved land at Tejon Ranch will be around for their kids to explore,” said Mike White, who led the tour for the Conservancy.
