El Tejon School Career Day

June 01, 2010

Executive Director Tom Maloney, Conservation Science Director Mike White, Conservation Scientist Chris Niemela, Operations Manager Jennifer Browne and Public Access Coordinator Scot Pipkin each presented the students with a portrait of their backgrounds, educations and skill sets that equip them to achieve the mission of the Tejon Ranch Conservancy. Students listened to the specifics of each Conservancy staff member and asked questions, then all went on a hike where several red-tailed hawks, an owl and a young western rattlesnake were spotted.

The Conservancy welcomes opportunities to reach out to the local communities and schools to foster an appreciation of the native biodiversity and ecosystem values that it was founded to protect and restore.
